I am thrilled to announce a new event series called Handmade in Atlanta!
Atlanta Makers has joined the rad folks at Switchyards Downtown Club and Hand-Picked Atlanta for a unique series of short film premieres and workshops. Each event will feature another maker and the short film Atlanta Makers created for them. To kick off our series right, we’ve invited Nathan Martin from Go Forth Goods to do a workshop on leather making! Check out a snippet of the event details below and be sure to register soon! Seating is limited!
From Hand-Picked Atlanta…
For this first workshop, Atlanta Makers will be showing at the cool-kids-central AKA The Switchyards Downtown Club their 11th short film of the series about Nathan and Go Forth Goods, giving you a full access pass behind the scenes of their leather workshop and passions. If you have never been to Switchyards before, now is your chance to check out their epic stadium seating and raw industrial chic vibes (insta-slam moment anyone?). After that Joey from Atlanta Makers will do a short Q&A about the film that leads to a live leather workshop with Nathan of Go Forth Goods. In this workshop, you will be able to interact directly with a premier maker and also craft your very own wallet all while under the supervision of an expert! Oh, and to keep things smooth throughout, Second Self Beer Co. has so very graciously offered to supply this workshop with plenty of refreshing ATaLe (is that not the most fitting beer name for this event of all time?) for all. So hurry up, time to learn a new skill while having fun and meeting tons of talented artisans!
